No-Mix Toilet FAQ
Q: What is a no-mix toilet?
A: A no-mix toilet is designed to keep solid waste (poo)
separate from liquid waste (pee).
Q: What is the advantage of keeping pee and poo separate?
A: Each type of waste is a valuable resource, but much less so
when they are mixed together. If they are mixed with toilet-flush
water, their value is even further reduced.
Q: Are no-mix dry-separating toilets available commercially?
A: Yes. Some trade names include Biolet, Clivus Multrum,
EcoJohn, Envirolet, Nature’s Head and Sun-Mar.
